Originally named the "forest turkey" in 1817, the Eastern Wild Turkey is considered a native species of turkey in the Eastern United States. 

Valued as the largest native species of turkey, and admired by fanciers the Eastern Wild Turkey is an impressive game bird.  Our turkeys are housed in open air aviaries in small family groups.
